Fibrin Platelet Therapy – PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) Treatment

Who is PRF treatment suitable for?

PRF treatment is suitable for you if you are experiencing signs of aging in the skin of the face and neck, or if you wish to prevent the development of visible aging signs.

Indications for treatment:

Skin tone has changed from radiant to dull, even grayish.
Facial features have begun to sag due to muscle laxity and reduced collagen.
The skin surface is uneven, wrinkled, and the overall appearance looks tired.

PRF – Platelet-Rich Fibrin treatment (PRF) is particularly suitable for patients who prefer not to use synthetic fillers. The procedure uses the patient’s own blood, which makes allergic reactions or rejection extremely unlikely.

At the beginning of the procedure, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient, similar to a standard blood test. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge to separate out the red blood cells. From the remaining plasma, the platelet-rich portion is isolated and injected into the treatment area. This platelet-rich plasma contains a high concentration of growth factors that help regenerate skin tissue. In addition, the plasma strongly attracts the body’s own stem cells. These stem cells can differentiate into the types of cells needed in the treated area, supporting tissue and cellular renewal.

In PRF treatment, the processing of platelet-rich plasma differs from PRP in that, due to a slower centrifugation process, more platelets remain in the mixture. This helps preserve important regenerative components and growth factors beneficial for skin rejuvenation. In PRP, some of these desirable cellular components are lost during separation, even though they are known to prolong treatment results.

PRF does not require additional substances, such as hyaluronic acid, to enhance its effect. The preserved natural components ensure highly effective results—completely naturally.

PRF is kept as natural as possible. Fibrin, a natural blood-clotting protein, remains in the mixture due to the slower centrifugation process. This creates a network that traps platelets and active substances at the injection site, preventing them from dispersing. As a result, the treatment is also well-suited for localized skin damage, such as stretch marks, scars, and wounds, and can help accelerate healing.

This is a so-called “lunchtime procedure,” after which the patient can return to normal daily activities. Some redness may occur, which should be taken into account when planning the rest of the day.

PRF treatment — indications

• Dark under-eye area. Growth factors in the plasma stimulate microcirculation in the skin, helping to reduce dark discoloration around the eyes.
• Fine lines, wrinkles, and scars on the face and neck. The PRF procedure stimulates skin renewal and the production of new collagen, which smooths fine lines and softens scars.
• Sagging facial features. The treatment stimulates the production of new elastin and collagen, resulting in firmer, more lifted skin.

PRF treatment procedure

The PRF procedure progresses in three stages:

1. A blood sample is taken from the patient.

2. The sample is placed in a centrifuge for a few minutes, separating blood cells from plasma.

3. The plasma is injected under the skin.

The plasma contains growth factors that strongly stimulate skin regeneration. As collagen production increases, fine lines and wrinkles are reduced, and the skin becomes firmer. The effects begin to appear within a few weeks after the treatment, and results last on average up to two years.
The best results are achieved with a series of 3–5 treatments, performed approximately one month apart.
